PURPOSE:To correct the position deviations in the axial center direction of tubular bodies by making the abutting positions of paired rollers provided momoyably in and out on a conveying surface moving the tubular bodies in a juxtaposed state in the direction orthogonal with their axial centers relatively displaceable in a furnace chamber. CONSTITUTION:In heat treatment of tubular bodies 2, all the rollers 18a, 18b are held projected by a prescribed distance from the conveying surface of a conveyor 11, and in this state, the bodies 2 in a carry-in chamber 4 are carried 3a into a heating chamber 3c. When the bodies 2 on the conveyor 11 bent on the rollers 18a, 18b, their transfer is stopped and the bodies 2 are rotated in the arrow direction; at the same time, the bodies are heated with burners 8 in the upper part. Next, the rollers are heated with burners 8 in the upper part. Next, the rollers 18a, 18b are lowered and in the 2nd stop position, the bodies are heat-treated in the same manner, after which the rollers 18a, 18b are moved upward again, and the bodies 2 are carried from the chamber 3c into a slow cooling chamber 3d. While the bodies 2 are rotated in each stop position in the chamber 3d, they are slow cooled, after which the heat-treated bodies 2 are carried 3b out onto roller bodies 17 for carrying. According to this method, there is no possibility of the deformation of the bodies 2 by exertion of large external force. |
