Roller bearing for radial and thrust loads

The bearing has a race with a cylindrical running surface at one end enclosed by a flange for cylindrical rollers taking the radial load. A further ring of rollers runs against the end face adjacent to the flange and takes the thrust load. A portion is cut out between the running surface and the flange. A strain gauge strip (14) is mounted on the wall of the cut-out portion (12), and the area against which the thrust rollers (7) run extends in the radial direction over the cut-out portion and the side face (10) of the flange (8).
