PURPOSE:To exchange deposited spatters together with a liner forming part of an outflow port for a shielding gas and to supply smoothly the shielding gas to the aperture of a torch body by providing freely attachably and detachably the liner to the aperture part of the torch. CONSTITUTION:Welding current is passed to a welding wire 2 and a joint part 7a of bodies 7 to be welded to generate an arc between the wire and the joint part 7a and at the same time an inert gas is blown to the joint parts 7a to weld said parts. Part of the molten metal of the wire 2 scatters in the form of spatters here and there and deposit gradually thereon. The liner 6 is pulled off by a pull-off fixture in accordance with the instruction stored in a welding robot and inserts the fresh liner therein when the flow rate of the inert gas decreases with the lapse of time. |
