SLAB WIDTH DECREASING DEVICE

摘要

PURPOSE:To decrease the width of a slab stock which changes over a wide range to various slab widths by installing screw down devices for adjusting the slab width to a press type width decreasing device which oscillates synchronously a pair of press dies at a specified amplitude and presses the transverse direction of the slab stock to decrease the width thereof. CONSTITUTION:The hot slab stock 101 is fed from an arrow into the press type slab width decreasing device. The width of the slab stock 101 which changes over a wide range is decreased by the press type width decreasing device constituted by installing the screw down devices 202 for adjusting slab width constituted of screws and nuts for moving the dies 105 installed at both ends in the transverse direction of the slab or oscillation generating parts 103 contg. the dies 105 so as to meet the change in the slab width.
