TERMINAL ASSEMBLY FOR CIRCUIT INTERRUPTER

The terminal assembly comprises three pairs of opposite source and load terminals (10, 20) each pair of opposite source and load terminals being carried on both lateral sides by a pair of first and second side plates (30, 40) by having each lateral side and a recess (104, 204), on that side engaging an associated groove (300, 302; 400, 402) and a raised portion (304, 306; 404, 406) on the front surface of each side plate respectively. Adjacent pairs of source and load terminals (10, 20) are held by different pairs of the side plates (30, 40) interconnected back to back, with alternating raised and recessed portions (316, 318) on the rear surface of one of the side plates (30) engaging mating recessed and raised portions (416, 418) on the rear surface of the other side plate (40) respectively. The terminals and side plates thus assembled are put into a unitary structure between two metal plates (50, 52) by using bolts (58, 60) and nuts (64) with each metal plate contacting the raised portions (316, 418) on the rear surface of the adjacent side plate.
