CORNER GUARD PIECE FOR PROTECTING PACKAGED ARTICLES A corner guard piece adaptable to a corner of an article for the protection of same. The corner guard piece is formed from sheet-like material and comprises a pair of side walls hingedly interconnected together along a hinge line. A top wall section extends from a common edge of each of the side walls and each positionable substantially transverse to a common side of the side walls. The top wall sections have adjacent straight outwardly angulated edges extending from the hinge line to permit the side walls to be folded toward one another on the hinge line while the angulated edges are displaced in face to-face relationship to form the corner guard piece. A securement element is associated with the top wall pieces to secure them together in a substantially transverse common plane.
