PURPOSE:To reproduce each color vividly and reduce the quantity of light by using developing devices incorporating blue, green, red, and black toners and detecting and storing the quantity of light of each picture element with photodetectors having yellow, cyan, and magenta filters and erasing image parts having no colored light and developing and transferring latent images. CONSTITUTION:The reflected light from an original on a contact glass 4 is made incident on a photosensitive drum 1 through mirrors 5a and 5b, a lens 6, and a half mirror 7, and the transmitted luminous flux is divided into three by a dichroic prism 9d and is made incident on photodetectors 9a-9c through cyan, yellow, and magenta filters to detect the quantity of light of each picture element. Colored light of each picture element is stored. The image parts except red parts are erased through an eraser 3 in accordance with stored information, and a red toner image is formed by development of a red developing device 10 and is transferred by a transfer charger 15. The similar operation is repeated to develop and transfer blue, green, and black toner images to obtain a vivid multicolor copy. |
