PURPOSE:To obtain inexpensive steamed confectionery, e.g. bun with a bean-jam filling in a thin coating, preservable for a long period, retaining mellowness, and capable of planned production, by covering a prepared dough material for the steamed confectionery with a heat-resistant and gas-impermeable packaging material. CONSTITUTION:A prepared dough material for steamed confectionery is covered with a heat-resistant and gas-impermeable packaging material and heated, e.g. at 125 deg.C for 25min, to give the aimed confectionery.
