PURPOSE:To obtain a silk powder having good quality with good efficiency within a short time, by irradiating silk with radioactive rays before grinding the same at extremely low temp. in nitrogen. CONSTITUTION:A raw cocoon, a dried cocoon or raw silk is irradiated with radioactive rays such as gamma-rays to molecularly split the high-molecular composition of said substance. The irradiated one is further cooled by liquid nitrogen and ground at extremely low temp. in nitrogen. By this method, a good quality silk powder can be obtained within a short time with good efficiency without destructing natural components. |
