PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device and the like for suppressing a chroma reduction in a high luminance gradation region without suppressing a reduction in color reproduction in low luminance to middle gradation regions as much as possible.SOLUTION: An image processing device comprises: a gain calculation unit 31 and a gain multiplication unit 32 that subject an input image composed by pixels of a plurality of color signals to signal enhancement in response to a signal value of each pixel without changing a chroma and a hue; and a gamma correction unit 33 that converts gradations of the plurality of color signals which has been subjected to the signal enhancement for every pixel on the basis of a weak gamma conversion curve lower in gamma enhancement degree than a basic gamma conversion curve for converting the color signals such that appropriate signal values can be obtained in an intermediate gradation region during output when the signal enhancement is not performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
