摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy in estimating the plastic coefft. of material by storing signals for the change in screw-down positions and signals for the change in rolling reaction during rolling and making calculation by using the result of the measurement of the sheet thickness on the outlet side as well as the stored signals and corresponding data. CONSTITUTION:Devices 1c-6c for detecting the rolling reaction and devices 1d- 6d for measuring the screw-down position are provided to rolling stands 1-6. A device 40 for detecting the sheet thickness is disposed on the outlet side of the final stand 6. The storage means 71 of an estimating device 7 stores the signals DELTAS1-DELTAS6 for the change in the screw down position and the signals DELTAF1-DELTAF6 for the change in the rolling reaction of each stand during rolling. An estimating means 72 makes calculation by using the result of the measurement of the sheet thickness on the outlet side as well as the various stored signals and corresponding data. The mill spring constant and plastic coefft. of the entire stand are estimated with the simple arithmetic processing with good accuracy by the above-mentioned method.</p>
