PURPOSE:To obtain the titled steel having superior strength and long-time stability at high temp., superior weldability and bendability as well as extremely superior corrosion resistance by reducing the amount of C in the high Ni steel having a specified composition and by adding a prescribed amount of Mo, W or V. CONSTITUTION:The titled steel consists of, by weight, <=0.05% C, 0.1-2.0% Si, <=2.0% Mn, 18-26% Cr, 16-30% Ni, one or more among 0.5-4.0% Mo, 0.01- 4.00% W and 0.01-4.00% V, and the balance Fe or further contains 0.02-0.25% N and/or <=1.5% Ti and/or <=1.5% Nb. The steel has extremely superior corrosion resistance even in a dry and corrosive environment contg. chloride at high temp. and also has superior strength and long-time stability at high temp., superior weldability and bendability.
