PURPOSE:To prevent turbidity of colors and to enhance transferability by forming a nonphotosensitive intermediate layer contg. a polymer coupler capable of reacting with a color developing agent and immobilizing it, between at least two photosensitive layers different in color sensitivity and the hue of the dye to be produced. CONSTITUTION:Each of two photosensitive layers formed on a support contains photosensitive silver halide, an org. silver salt, a dye donor capable of producing a diffusive dye on heat development, and a binder, and each is different from each other in color sensitivity and the hue of the dye to be produced. The nonphotosensitive intermediate layer contg. a polymer coupler capable of reacting with the oxidation product of the color developing agent and immobilizing said oxidation product is formed between these two photosensitive layers. As said polymer coupler, the coupler is combined to the side chains or main structure of the polymer, and as the coupler, active methylene compds. and active methine compds. are enumerated, and their mol.wt. is, preferablye, large enough to suppress diffusion. The insertion of the intermediate layer contg. such a polymer coupler can prevent turbidity of colors, and obtain superior transferability. |
