<p>PURPOSE:To obtain stably a recorded image having high resolving power by holding a developer consisting of magnetic fluid contg. a charge controlling agent on magnetic needlelike bases, scattering the developer so as to stick onto the surface of a photosensitive drum and developing the image thereon. CONSTITUTION:Pulverous ferromagnetic particles of ferrite, etc. are subjected to a surface treatment by a surface active agent and a stabilizer is attracted thereto. Such particles are dispersed into an org. solvent colored by a coloring pigment, etc. thereby obtaining the developer. The developer 2 consisting of the magnetic liquid in a developer-contg. hopper 3 is stucked into a spherical shape to the tips 10 of the plural magnetic needlelike bodies 1 disposed in proximity to the photosensitive drum 4 under the effect of a magnetic field 12. The developer 2 forms always a specified amt. of a developer pool to the tips of the bases 1 by the magnetic force of the bases 1. The developer 2 is then scattered by the electrostatic attraction of the latent image 42 on a photoconductive layer 41 and is thus stuck onto the image 42, by which the image is developed. The recording image having high resolving power is thus stably obtd.</p> |
