PURPOSE:To repair and replace easily a faulty position, and to improve the reliability of a fault detecting device by offering the information for reducing the range of a forecast faulty position, in case a fault such as a machine check, etc. is generated. CONSTITUTION:A data is sent out through data buses P1-Pn from plural data transmitting units U1-Un, and one bus of P1-Pn is selected by a data bus selecting signal 3 in a data selecting circuit 1. This selected data is sent out to a data receiving unit 2, and simultaneously, the validity of the data is checked by a parity checking circuit 4. AND of a result of decision of this circuit 4, a check stage signal and the timing is gained, and its output is provided to a set input of a parity check detecting circuit 5. In such a state, if an error exists in the bus and the circuit 5 is set, a check detecting signal 7 being its output signal inhibits the timing of a bus selecting signal holding FF6, the signal 7 of the circuit 5 and a failure bus number 8 are processed by a fault processing unit 9, and the faulty position is repaired and replaced easily. |
