PURPOSE:To permit a suction belt to be installed without largely reconstructing a feeding frame by allowing a number of suction holes formed onto the feeding surface of a feeding belt to communicate to either of the suction passages in the direction crossing through the inside from the negative-pressure suction ports on one or the both sides of the belt. CONSTITUTION:When a workpiece is fed onto a work feeding belt 21, the work receives the stepping pressure of a work pressing roll 7, and since the work successively coincides with and passes through the suction port 25 of a suction passage 24 formed onto the side surface of a negative-pressure suction feeding belt 21 at the suction opening edge 28 of a suction apparatus 27 set close to the side part, etc. of a grinding part 9 between the rolls 7 and 8, the work is negative-pressure-attracted onto the feeding surface 22 by a suction port 23 which is formed onto the feeding surface 22 of the feeding belt 21 and communicates to the suction passage 24 through a communication passage 26 and transferred to the grinding part 9, and ground by a traveling endless grinding belt 6 and sent-out. Since the necessity of a negative-pressure suction chamber can be eliminated, large reconstruction for a feeding frame is not required, even if a negative- pressure suction function is provided, and only the simple reconstruction is sufficient. |
