In the case of an anchor clamp for multi-wire overhead lines, having a wedge body (1) which is to be inserted between the wires and consists of electrically insulating material, and clamping jaws which hold the wedge body (1) between themselves and consist of electrically insulating material, the clamping jaws are arranged between the plate-like end sections (11') of the two limbs (11) of a metallic bracket (12). These limbs diverge towards their free end at least approximately up to the end section (11') and converge on the length of their end section (11). A clamping force can be exerted on the two end sections (11') by means of a bolt (4) and a nut which is screwed thereon. The bolt (4) is arranged in the half which is adjacent to the free end of the overall length (measured in the limb longitudinal direction) of the end sections (11') of the two bracket limbs (11), and the yoke part (13) which connects the two bracket limbs is constructed to be elastically deformable in the sense of the two limbs (11) approaching one another. <IMAGE>
