摘要 The invention relates to a method for determining the boiling of liquids and/or foods. A signal is required for the beginning of the boiling of a liquid or an object to be cooked located in a container, which signal can be used to control the energy supply so that the boiling can be interrupted or just maintained. According to the invention, the boiling movement of the liquid or the object to be cooked is recorded and a signal is derived therefrom. The recording can take place by means of ultrasonic Doppler radar; ultrasound at a fixed frequency is radiated into the object and the radiation reflected from the object is received. During boiling, the frequency of the reflected radiation changes in relation to the frequency of the incoming radiation; a signal is derived from the change in frequency. <IMAGE>
