In a solid-bowl worm centrifuge with a rotatably mounted drum and a worm which is rotatably mounted therein and has a main drive via V-belt drive by means of drive pulleys and V-belt pulleys and has a hydraulic transmission between drum and worm, for the sake of improvement and simplification it is proposed that the hydraulic driving machine, usually a hydraulic motor, be arranged so as to rotate with the main drive shaft, a worm drive wheel (6) being connected to the shaft (27) of the hydraulic driving machine (10) and a drum drive wheel (7) being connected to the housing (28) of the hydraulic driving machine (10). <IMAGE>
