A multicell electric storage battery 2 having an intercell connector manifold 46 sealed within a recess 42 in a cover 6 of the battery. The manifold comprises a plurality of conductive lightweight links 50 integral with a non-conductive carrier plate 48 and secured to posts 30, 32 projecting from the cell elements 16 of the battery.
