PURPOSE:The titled molded article having improved abrasion resistance and surface smoothness, etc., by forming a cured film of a crosslinkable curable resin material consisting of an acryloyloxy group-containing monomer on the surface of a molded article of a resin consisting of methacrylimide of specific structure and an ethylenic monomer. CONSTITUTION:>=2wt%, preferably >=10wt% methacrylimide structural units expressed by the formula and <=98wt% ethylenic monomer, e.g. methyl methacrylate, are polymerized in the presence of a polymerization catalyst, e.g. lauroyl peroxide, to give a molded resin article. A cured film consisting of a crosslinkable curable resin material containing >=30wt% one or more monomers having >=3 (meth)acryloyloxy groups in one molecule, [e.g. dipentaerythritol tri(meth) acrylate], is formed on the surface of the above-mentioned molded resin article and crosslinked and cured to give the aimed molded article. EFFECT:Improved abrasion and solvent resistance, surface smoothness, flexibility, durability, adhesion to base materials, etc.
