PURPOSE:To perform the self-feeding of carbon dioxide used in preparing potable water, by recoverying non-condensible gas by opening the value of a bypass pipe when the pressure of a gas extraction line is a definite value or more and closing the aforementioned value when said pressure is the definite value or less. CONSTITUTION:Evaporators 4 each equipped with a flash box 1, a demister 2 and a condenser 3 are provided in a multi-stage fashion so as to be communicated to each other and seawater is introduced into the condenser 3 of each evaporator 4 and withdrawn from the other end side. Gas extraction pipings 5 are respectively arranged in the steam sides of the condensers 3 of plural evaporators 4 in the other end side, that is, a high temp. stage side H and met to form a confluent pipe 6 while a condenser 7 for condensing steam, a vacuum pump 8 as a gas extraction apparatus and a storage tank 9 are provided to said confluent pipe 6 so as to be successively arranged toward the downstream side and non-condensible gas containing carbon dioxide is recovered and stored in a dry state. |
