PURPOSE:To reduce resistance against gas flow and minimize a dead space so as to reduce the size of a heat-exchanger and improve the performance thereof by inserting an internal sleeve in an external sleeve which is closed at one end thereof and having a conical projection extend from the closed end of the external sleeve toward the inner sleeve. CONSTITUTION:A displacer piston 19 and a power piston 21 are disposed inside the inner wall 23 of a cylinder and connected to a driving part 33, such as a crank or the like by connecting rods 20 and 22. An internal sleeve 10 and an external sleeve 9 are connected to a heater head 30 mounted on the upper part of the cylinder. One end of the internal sleeve 10 is connected to a high temperature expanding space 15. One end of the external sleeve 9 is connected to a gas passage 16 running from a regenerator 17 while the other end thereof is closed by the rear end part 11 of a projection 12. The projection 12 is shaped in the conical form and extends toward the internal sleeve 10. Similarly in a cooler, the external sleeve 25 thereof is connected to a cooler head 31 while the other end of the external sleeve 25 is closed by the rear end part 27 of a projection 28. The projection 28 extends toward an internal tube 32. |
