摘要 PURPOSE:To manufacture the titled catalyst having high activity and high strength by using honeycomb-grain size distribution type silica sol which is derived under the existence of two kinds of silica sol in the specified proportion whose average grain size is different, as the silica sol which is used for the preparation of slurry. CONSTITUTION:In the method for manufacturing the titled catalyst obtained by heat- treating slurry at <=7pH and >=40 deg.C in which Sb compound, multivalent metal compound and silica sol are contained as an essential component and thereafter drying and calcining the slurry, as the silica sol which is usd for the preparation of slurry, the honeycomb-grain size distribution type silica sol which is derived under the existence of the following silica sols A, B in the following amount whose average grain sizes are different is used. The silica sol A is equivalent amount to 10-90wt% of total silica contained in the catalyst and the silica sol B is equivalent amount to 90-10wt% of total silica contained in the catalyst. However, when the average grain sizes of the silica sols A, B are assumed as da(mmu) and db(mmu) respectively, 5<da<50mmu and 0.1< (da/db)<0.9 are obtained. Thus, the titled catalyst having high activity and high strength can be manufactured.
