PURPOSE:To attain noise reduction by placing a microcomputer in a halt state while a photodetector is scanned. CONSTITUTION:A video signal from a self-scanning type photodetector 10 is supplied to the MPU (microcomputer) 110 through an amplifier 20, sample holding circuit 30, A/D converter 40, and data buffer register 50. Then when the MPU110 outputs a sampling command signal through a decoding circuit 100, namely, while the photodetector is scanned, an HALT signal light emitting circuit 90 stops the operation of the MPU110 temporarily. Further, the temporary stop of the operation of the MPU110 is reset with a scanning end signal outputted by the photodetector 10.
