PURPOSE:To prevent an engine from stalling in time of being ungeared from high revolution, by checking a difference in torque generating patterns due to a disparity in setting base air-fuel ratios caused by a response lag of a cylinder suction air quantity in time of variations in an engine speed, while compensating the response lag of the generating torque. CONSTITUTION:Shaft torque T causes a response lag to the variation of an engine speed N according to the response lag of a cylinder suction air quantity Qa, while its generating pattern differs sue to a difference in setting base air-fuel ratios. Hereat, in time of idling, ignition timing is compensated at a control part 51 according to a difference between an actual cylinder suction air quantity and an ideal cylinder suction air quantity, namely, a difference between the actual torque generated out of an engine and ideal torque and thereby the difference is made so as to be eliminated so that no response lag in the generating torque due to variations in an engine speed will occur. With this constitution, in time of idling an engine is in no case stalled when being ungeared from high revolution and, what is more, in time of load of clutch meet or the like being added. |
