<p>The mechanism has a drum-shaped housing with an inlet and an outlet. The housing contains a threshing drum acting as a transverse blower. A concave, extending concentrically to the drum and at an adjustable distance from it, turns over part of the drum periphery. The crop, such as wheat, barlet, rice, peas, sorghum etc. is threshed between the concave and the drum and mostly drops through it. The straw and chaff are blown by air through the outlet. Seen in the direction of rotation of the drum (8), there is an additional air inlet (14) located after the crop inlet (12). This can be covered by a grating and can also act as a grain outlet.</p> |
