PURPOSE:To improve the airtightness of a very thin thin-type battery by sticking a positive and a negative sealing plate together by means of a proper fusible adhesive. CONSTITUTION:A fusible ionomer resin 6 is adopted as an appropriate adhesive. The ionomer resin 6 is produced by subjecting a copolymer consisting of ethylene and acrylic acid to cross linkage performed with the ion of an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal or similar element. It has the property of very strongly adhering to a metallic plate. The aritightness of a thin-type battery is achieved by sticking together the peripheral areas of a positive and a negative metallic sealing plate 1 and 5 placed facing each other by means of the ionomer resin 6. As a result, the metallic plates 1 and 5 intensely adhere to the ionomer resin 6, thereby improving the airtightness of a very thin thin-type battery. |
