ON-DEMANDF TYPE INK JET RECORDING APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To prevent the change in the density of an image followed by the change in the viscosity of ink, by adjusting the height of an ink sump corresponding to the change in the viscosity of the ink. CONSTITUTION:A viscosity sensor 7 for detecting the viscosity of ink 3 is provided in an ink sump and communicated with a motor driving signal generator 8. A thread is cut to the outside of a rotary shaft 10 to constitute an ink sump height control mechanism for driving the receiving stand 11 of the ink sump 2 up and down. A motor driving signal is generated corresponding to the viscosity of the ink 3 and, the rotary direction and rotation number of a motor 9 are prescribed so that the receiving stand 11 is moved upwardly when the viscosity of the ink 3 increases and moved downwardly when decreases. As mentioned above, the motor 9 is rotated on the basis of the change of the viscosity of the ink 3 by the signal from the motor driving signal generator 8 and the ink sump 2 is moved up and down to a direction for correcting the emission amount of the ink by the up-and-down movement of the receiving stand 11.
