PURPOSE:To prevent yellow tint of and adhesion of dust to a belt for conveying an original carrying on the surface thereof an image to be optically read by composing the belt of polyurethane rubber with a plurality kinds of specific additives. CONSTITUTION:An original conveying belt 10 includes an endless belt composed of cloth 1 and belt rubbers 2, 3 carried on the front and rear surfaces of the cloth 1, and is rotated, adhering to the rear surface of an original carrying on the surface thereof an image to be optically read, so as to convey the original. The belt rubber is composed of a rubber material including polyurethane rubber with additives of titanium white powder, ultraviolet absorbent and antistatic agent. The original conveying belt 10 of such a construction is white enough, almost free from yellow tint, and as it is hard to be charged and almost free from deterioration due to ultraviolet, adhesion of dust can be prevented. This is effective to prevent an original from being darkened at the peripheral portion thereof by copying or the like operation and to improve mechanical strength. |
