PURPOSE:To improve safety in a burner by preventing unburned fuel from leaking, by contriving not to feed fuel to the burner when an ignition heater does not function normally. CONSTITUTION:When an ignition heater 12 is broken and the current does not flow through the heater, though an ignition switch SW is closed, the abnormal condition of a heater can be detected, as the output voltage from a converter 14 is 0 volt. When the heater is abnormal, a pulse signal is not output to a solenoid-operated valve 2, leaving the valve 2 in a closed state, even though the time for prepurge has passed. When a detecting time has come, fuel is not fed to a burner at all from the beginning, so that an indicator 19 indicates that the heater is abnormal. With such an arrangement, unburned fuel is prevented from leaking, and safety property of a burner can be improved. |
