The subject of the invention is a mechanical device for communicating a periodic-velocity circular movement to a second shaft 20 from a constant-velocity circular movement of a first shaft 10, characterised in that it comprises: - a first plate 12 which is free to rotate about a third shaft 25 and rotatably driven from the first shaft; - at least one pinion 13, free to rotate about a fourth fixed shaft 40 securely fastened to the said first plate 12 parallel to the said third shaft and arranged between the centre and the periphery of the said first plate, the said pinion being equipped with a crank 15 parallel to the said fourth shaft and arranged between the centre and the periphery of the said pinion and close to the working diameter of the said pinion, the said pinion meshing with a fixed toothed wheel 14, coaxial with the said first plate, the said crank 15 engaging in a radial slot 16 of a second plate 17 having as a shaft the said second shaft 20.
