PURPOSE:The titled ink, obtained by incorporating a disperse dye insoluble or slightly soluble in water with a specific nonionic surfactant in a specific proportion, operable stably for a long term without causing clogging of nozzles nor drying and sticking to the periphery of nozzle tips, etc., and having high dyeing power. CONSTITUTION:An ink for ink jet printing obtained by adding (A) 1-30wt%, preferably 3-15wt% disperse dye insoluble or slightly soluble in water and (B) 0.5-5wt% preferably 1-30wt% nonionic surfactant of the formula (R<1> and R<2> are H or alpha-methylbenzyl; R<3> is H or methyl; R<4> is H, methyl or alpha-methylbenzyl and one of R<1>, R<2> and R<4> is alpha-methylbenzyl; either one of l and n is 0 and the other is an integer 1-20; m is an integer 0-5) to (C) preferably 40-80wt% methanol alone or a mixture solution, and pulverizing and dispersing the resultant mixture as particles having preferably 0.005-1mu particle diameter therein. |
