PURPOSE:To provide a low-cost metal vapor discharge lamp reduced in its tube wall load and stabilized in its life by fixedly supporting a transparent reflector with use of frame lines provided in an outer tube. CONSTITUTION:A transparent reflector 9 with which a luminous tube 2 of a high-pressure sodium lamp is covered is fixed on the tips of frame lines 5a, 6a bent on the luminous tube side, and supported. With such arrangement, there is needed no exclusive support rod for fixing the reflector 9. |
