The present invention relates to 1-(4-acetylaminophenyl)-2- alkylaminopropanones of formula: where R represents a C1-C4 alkyl group and X represents a hydrogen or halogen atom, and their addition salts, as new industrial products. These new products are used in therapeutic treatment especially as stimulants and antidepressants of the CNS.
