PURPOSE:To prevent a toner from scattering, and also to execute a complete fixing of a toner image by constituting so that an unfixed toner image transferred onto a recording paper is half-welded in the first half of a fixing area, and completely fixed in the latter half. CONSTITUTION:A flash lampe 1 is arranged on the front in the carrying direction of a recording paper 4 from a middle part against a frame 5. Also, a reflector 6 opposed to the lamp 1 is provided in an elliptical or similar shape, and a fixing area is divided into two parts of the first half and the latter half against the carrying direction of the recording paper 4. In this state, an image is fixed by light emission of two times of the lamp 1 so that an unfixed toner image transferred onto the recording paper 4 is half-welded in the first half fixing area l1 and completely fixed in the latter half area l2. Accordingly, it does not occur that an unifixed toner scatters and contaminates a transparent plate 3, also it is unnecessary to irradiate intense optical energy of once to the recording paper 4, and a stable fixing performance can be obtained. |
