PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of white stripes on a heat sensitive recording medium when the waiting time of information is long by applying composite information obtained from a prescribed logic between the picture information of a preceding scanning line and that of the succeeding scanning line to a thermal head under the stopped state of the heat sensitive recording medium when detecting that the input of the picture information of the preceding scanning line is delayed from a previously fixed time. CONSTITUTION:When a counted value of a timer circuit 60 exceeds a previously set time, a sequence controller 70 controls a selector 50 at first to input the output of an AND gate 40 to the thermal head 5. The output of the AND gate 40 is the composite information obtained from the AND between the picture information of the preceding line which is stored in a buffer memory 20 and the picture information of the succeeding line which is stored in a buffer memory 30 and the composite information is recorded on the heat sensitive recording paper 1 before the carrying of the heat sensitive recording paper 1. Consequently, the composite information based upon the AND is recorded in a space C ordinally expressed as white stripes due to the increment of subscanning pitches and the white stripes disappears.
