PURPOSE:To make a device small-sized by providing a solar battery on the rear side of a display panel for the purpose of making the attaching area smaller. CONSTITUTION:When the light from the outside strikes a display panel 12, the light transmitted through the display panel 12 is irradiated to a solar battery 1 to generate electricity. Since this electromotive force of the solar battery 11 is transmitted through the display panel 12, the efficiency of the solar battery itself is improved. Though a liquid crystal panel may have an approximately transparent background when the area of character parts is small and the electromotive force is too small in case of black characters on the white background, the electromotive force is increased and the device is easy to use when the solar battery is used. |
