The invention relates to a device for the treatment of glass sheets which are hot or are to be heated, in particular on a roller hearth furnace. The device operates with a roller bar grizzly which is fixed or movable and has a plurality of drive rollers which are arranged so as to be axially parallel and equidistant and each of which has bearing rollers which are arranged on both sides of the longitudinal means of the drive rollers and form a bearing plane with bearing lines for the glass sheets. At least one further bearing roller is arranged above each drive roller. The diameter of this further bearing roller is reduced to the dimension determined by the bearing plane relative to the bearing rollers arranged on both sides of the drive rollers. In this manner, a carpet of rollers can be set up, whose bearing lines have a very small spacing of only a few centimetres, specifically also in an equidistant arrangement of the bearing lines. <IMAGE>
