<p>The pattern control system has a magnetic tape store holding the data for the stitches by rows. A switch is positioned in the movement path of the lock to activate the magnetic tape store to deliver the data to the stores for each row. A monitoring circuit is provided to ensure that the magnetic tape store is switched off when the required data has been delivered and read. The system allows the pattern data to be stored for the whole width of the fabric being knitted, and for the size of the lock to be reduced and its design simplified.</p> |
