The invention relates to an electronic device which is inserted in the power supply circuit of the "stop" lights in order to increase their visibility by creating a repetitive flashing effect of short duration. It consists of a square wave generator CI2 and of a programmed decoder counter CI1. A power relay 16 whose position at rest closes the original circuit of the "stop" lights is excited by the programmed number of pulses before returning to its initial state. <IMAGE>
