Single piece mould wheel and tyre - having cross tie members to prevent collapse of side walls

A single piece moulded inflatable wheel and tyre comprises a central hub carrying a pair of supporting sidewalls which carry a tyre. The whole space within the tyre and supporting sidewalls can be inflated through a valve. Collapse of the supporting sidewalls is prevented by cross braces extending between the sidewalls. The cross braces may be so designed that they and the spaces between them give the illusion of a spoked wheel. Alternatively the braces may contain round through passages so positioned to enable the wheel to be mounted upon an ordinary wheel hub.
