ELECTROSTATIC LATENT IMAGE WRITING ELECTRODE

PURPOSE:To prevent mutual interference between upper and lower electric fields of control electrodes by providing a new auxiliary electrode intermediately between control electrodes adjacent to each other to secure a specified potential. CONSTITUTION:An auxiliary electrode 4 is arranged intermediately between control electrodes 2. The control electrodes 2 vary potentials thereof to turn ON or OFF the ion flow while the auxiliary electrode 4 is always maintained at a constant potential. This constant potential of the auxiliary electrode 4 make the auxiliary electrode 4 hard to vary in the upper and lower electric fields thereof hampering mutual interference between the upper and lower electric fields of the control electrodes 2 adjacent to the auxiliary electrode 4. This can prevent the ion flow from being affected by the potential of the adjacent electrodes 2 as passing through an ion flow control hole 3 of the control electrodes 2.
