<p>DIAGNOSTIC STRIPS N3A- For the detection and semi-quantitative detn. of glucose and/or pH in body fluids, esp. blood, are prepared by treating an absorbent carrier e.g. paper, cardboard, or other fibrous material with an organosilicon water repellent of formula (I): (where R'-R8 = H, (1-6C) alkyl, or aryl residue) together with (a) a glucose indicating system containing glucose oxidase, peroxidase or an inorganic compound with peroxidase activity, and a chromogen, e.g. o-tolidine, o-dianisidine, benzidine, HCl, guaiacum, dye leuco bases, or phenylenediamine, and/or (b) a pH indicator. Strips containing (a) and (b) indicator zones, should be separated by a 1-2 mm gaps.</p> |
