The invention relates to a device for feeding wild animals, in which dry food is released from chambers into a feeding trough at predetermined intervals, by means of pivotable flaps. Each flap is kept closed by means of a pin which is pivoted into a slot at the end of the assigned period, so that the flap opens downwards under the force of gravity. To pivot the pins, a toothed rod slides in a running rail, the said rod travelling under the force of gravity and its forward movement being regulated by means of a braking clock. The device is very robust and is also suited for use in winter, in particular.
