PURPOSE:To simplify construction by enabling output members to move both in the longitudinal and lateral directions by using a single composite cam having a non-circular endless groove cam and a circular end cam whose depth varies continuously, in a cam device for an automatic assembling machine, etc. CONSTITUTION:In the cam device, which drives more than one output member 7, of an automatic assembling machine, etc., a hollow fixed sleeve 4 is inserted and fixed in the opening part 1a of a housing 1, and an output-member supporting table 2 is fixed on the upper end of this sleeve 4, while its lower end is fixed on a fixing member 3. A continuous rotary shaft 5 is inserted through the sleeve 4, and a disk-type composite cam 6 is fixed on the top of the shaft 5. On the output member 7 provided on the supporting table 2, is provided a mounting block 16 which is supported, through guide bars 15a, 15b, by a sliding block 13 which is elevatable along a vertical guide bar 12. The guide bar 15a and the sliding block 13 are guided by the groove 8 and the end cam 9, through contact members 10, 11, respectively. |
