PURPOSE:To stop a ram at a home position irrespectively of a rotating speed by determining the operation command of a brake by the angle at which the ram rotates by inertia since an operation command is emitted until the ram stops and the angle at which the ram arrives at the home position since a stop command is emitted. CONSTITUTION:The inertial angle until a ram for a press stops since an operation command is applied to a friction clutch brake for interrupting the ram from the driving source thereof is determined preliminarily for each of the rotating angle by actual measurement to determine (360 deg.Xn-theta (n is >=1 integer). The operation command is applied to the friction clutch brake when the ram rotates by an angle theta after a proximity switch 3 detects first the cam part 2 of a cam plate 1 since the stop command for the ram is emitted. Then the ram rotates by (360 deg.Xtheta) and stops in the prescribed stop position. |
