PURPOSE:To facilitate retrieval by detecting the extent of the feeding of a recording medium such as a microfilm regardless of the feeding speed and carrying on the feeding operation until the detected value attains to a specific value when the deviation of the recording medium to be retrieved from a desired address is detected and corrected feed is performed. CONSTITUTION:The cassette of the recroding medium such as the microfilm is given with a desired address, and fed and stopped automatically. When the stop position deviates from the desired position, e.g. when over- or under-feed is detected, a self-return type SW100 is depressed and an inverter V1 outputs a signal H to set an FF102 and also start a counter 103 at the same time. An AND circuit A1 is opened and a motor M3 is driven 105. The inverter V3 outputs a signal L to release brake solenoids 2 and 3, feeding a film forward. When output pulses of a rotary encoder RE attain to a set value set in the counter 103 according to the deviation of the film, the motor M3 is stopped. When the film is fed too much, SW101 is operated, and when the deviation is large, the SW101 is operated sevaral times. Thus, retrieval is facilitated. |
