The invention relates to a component for a temperature-compensated oscillator and an oscillator containing it. The component comprises, within the same package 3, 4, a quartz crystal 1 of low thermal drift, intended to constitute the frequency reference of a master oscillator and a lithium tantalate crystal 2 intended to constitute, by virtue of its high thermal drift, a temperature reference with a view to the said compensation. The two crystals 1, 2 have dimensions such that they exhibit substantially equal thermal masses. The oscillator includes a circuit for controlling the phase shift of the master oscillator, the compensation being produced with the aid of a memory storing the correction to be applied as a function of the frequency of the lithium tantalate crystal. <IMAGE>
