<p>This invention relates to substrates of D-amino acid oxidase which are valuable therapeutic agents. More particularly, the compounds of the present invention includes a D-amino acid oxidase substrate of the structural formula <CHEM> and the pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, wherein R is H, -CH3, -CH3CH2-, CH3CH2CH2-, CH3(CH2)2CH2-, (CH3)2CH-, <CHEM> -CH2OH, CH3CH2SCH2CH2-, CH3SCH2-, CH3SCH2CH2-, C6H5CH2-, 4-OH-C6H4CH2-, 3,4-diOH-C6H3C2- and <CHEM> and R1 is the des-amino residue of a -NH2 bearing therapeutic agent.</p> |
